Leadership tips for flag officers . . .
and anyone else who has been thrust into a position of leadership.

You didn't ask for the job.  Well, okay, maybe you did.  Whether you did or you didn't, now you have it.  You're the dog who caught the car.  Now what are you going to do with it?

P/C Joseph A. Tringali has served as mayor of North Palm Beach, Florida, two terms as commodore of North Palm Beach Yacht Club and two terms as commodore of Palm Beach Sailing Club.  He was a founding member of the International Commodores Association and Florida Commodores Association, and first commodore of the Great Lakes Chapter, Matthews Boat Owners Association.  He also served as commander of Buffalo Power Squadron, and commander of TAK Squadron, Civil Air Patrol.

He is, as the saying goes, "well schooled" in the art of leadership . . .
His new Third Edition of Yachting Customs and Courtesies devotes one entire chapter to leadership principles, and another to "How to Run a Meeting."  Along with sample scripts and floor diagrams for every yacht club ceremony, these chapters make "Yachting Customs and Courtesies -- Third Edition" an essential book for every yacht club officer.

"Yachting Customs and Courtesies -- Third Edition" also contains graphics of over 800 yacht club burgees in full color, and over 2,000 listings including many websites and e-mail addressed for yacht clubs around the world.

You can order the book now by clicking on the cover at the right.
